Holiday Wish List: VTech Multi-Tasking Phone System (review)

November 14, 2011 by Nicole Leave a Comment

Holidays are such a busy time of year!  Shopping, baking, making travel plans, going to parties, decorating the house and so much more fills our days and nights.  Sometimes I wish I could clone myself to be able to get it all done!  I’m sure many of you probably feel the same way.  Since cloning isn’t a viable option, wouldn’t it be nice to have a device that would help you multi-task so you could get more things done in the same amount of time? VTech’s recent Holiday Survey found that almost 100% of survey respondents said Yes!  This is where the new VTech Two Handset Cordless Answering System including a Cordless DECT 6.0 Headset (LS6475-3) comes in.

Parents, you will want to add this phone to your Wish List!  I have had the VTech phone system with built-in headset (LS6475-3) in my home for the past couple of weeks and feel like I have an extra set of helping hands.  It makes a huge difference for me to be able to talk on the phone and have my hands free to change diapers, cook dinner, fold clothes, clean the house (okay, okay, I’ll stop here before I overwhelm you with my awesome list of household tasks – you get the idea, though, right?).  I love that I can talk on the phone and do my chores at the same time – it helps me not feel guilty about talking on the phone and “wasting” time that I could be using to do other things.  As the holiday season gets even busier, I know that having my hands free to work while I talk on the phone will help me be a lot more productive.

I use my VTech headset by wearing it over my ear.  There are several over the ear device options that come with the phone, along with a traditional headset option.  It’s very comfortable and easy to adjust to the right volume for your ears.  It is very nice to have a true hands-free device for talking on the home phone.  No more getting cricks in my neck from trying to balance a handset in between my shoulder and my ear (you know you do it, too!).  My family and I use the speakerphone option quite a bit, too.  It’s as simple as pushing the button to have a hands-free conversation with everyone in the room.

This VTech phone system comes with so many useful features – I have selected just a few of the features that I find especially useful:

  • Caller ID/Call waiting stores 50 calls
  • 50 name and number phonebook directory
  • Excellent range, up to 500 feet
  • HD Audio for clearer sound
  • With the touch of a button, the handset speakerphones makes hands-free conversations easy
  • Voice Announce Caller ID

If you screen your calls, Voice Announce Caller ID will be your new best friend!  Your phone will audibly announce the name and number of the caller on all of the handsets and the base so you there is no need to look at a handset display to find out who is calling.  I love this feature!  Thanks to Voice Announce Caller ID, I don’t need to rush to find and answer the phone if I don’t want to take calls from telemarketers or anyone else that can wait until I feel like calling them back.

Multi-tasking and talking on the phone just got a whole lot easier with VTech’s Two Handset Cordless Answering System including a Cordless DECT 6.0 Headset (LS6475-3).  I look forward to spending time reconnecting with family and friends on the phone this holiday season, thanks to VTech technology!

You can find a full list of the LS6475-3 Multitasking phone system’s features and details on the VTech website.

I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of VTech and received a product sample to facilitate my review.
