This blog post about FirstBIKE balance bike for kids is brought to you by FirstBIKE. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.
I would say that the FirstBIKE Balance STREET Bike is the hit of the summer at my house…but summer has not even started yet! This awesome training bike has already skyrocketed to the top of my 3-year-old’s Favorite Activity Ever list. He wakes up wanting to ride his FirstBIKE and would sleep next to his FirstBIKE if I would let him. You can tell he thinks he has finally ARRIVED at “Big Boyhood” now that he can ride a bike by himself.
He is three, and has a no-fear attitude when it comes to trying new things. Of course, who would not be tempted by this cool-looking FirstBIKE? He jumped right on the bike and took off riding – it was definitely the most stress-free experience I have ever had as a parent teaching a child to ride a bike.
So what is missing from the FirstBIKE Balance Bike? See if you can figure it out:
Did you say “the pedals”? If so, then you are technically correct because the FirstBike Balance Bike does not have pedals…BUT, that is exactly how this bike is supposed to be. Children can develop a sense of balance, motor skills and confidence when they ride a FirstBIKE Balance Bike.
Even Very Young Children Can Learn To Ride a FirstBIKE
Children ages 2-5 can learn to ride a two-wheeler with a FirstBIKE. It helps them develop a sense of balance and eliminates the need for training wheels. This lightweight training bike grows with your child until they are ready for pedals. The bike is lightweight and easy for kids to maneuver. And I have learned it is super light for me to lift in and out of our vehicle for when we take it with us on trips.
My husband had the FirstBIKE put together in just a few minutes. We can easily adjust the height of the bike with the turn of a knob (no special tools required).
FirstBIKE STREET Bike Has LOTS of Features including some of my favorites:
- Hand Safety Brake for gentle braking
- High Quality Schwalbe Tires – THESE TIRES ROCK!! Air tires go on concrete, packed dirt and stone
- Lightweight composite frame that does not rust, scratch or splinter
- “Horse Saddle” shaped seat for comfort and safety
- Reflective Surfaces – For better visibility in low light situations
- Steering Limited – The handlebar does not fully rotate, which helps young riders keep direction

I would definitely recommend a FirstBIKE to parents with young children who want to learn to ride a bike. There’s no doubt about it! We love our FirstBIKE Street bike.
