If my children’s vitamins don’t taste good, they will not take them. I have tried many varieties of vitamins to find out what they like and don’t like. Recently, we received samples of Emergen-C drinkable Vitamin C for kids.
We had a great time with our Emergen-C taste test. I whipped up Emergen-C drinks in Fruit Punch, Orange, and Grape flavors and had my family sit down for a few sips of Vitamin C! It’s easy to do: Simply mix one Emergen-C packet with 8 ounces of water.
My kids liked each of the flavors and I heard comments of “Yum!” and “That’s good!” each time they tried a different taste. I tried them myself and liked the Fruit Punch the best. The drinks are a little bit fizzy, sort of like seltzer water. The recommended dosage is 1-2 packets per day. You can be sure that my children will be drinking Emergen-C at the first sign of a cold this year.
I just visited the Emergen-C Facebook page and took the Kidz Pledge. For each person who takes the pledge, Emergen-C will donate 25 cents to Vitamin Angels program to provide nutrients to one child for one year! One click of your mouse can help reduce the worldwide childhood mortality rate. Please spend a moment to take the Kidz Pledge too. More than 16,400 people had taken the pledge when I visited, let’s see if we can help make that number skyrocket!
I pledge today to commit to creating a fun and healthy lifestyle for me and my family, which includes: eating more nutritious foods, taking vitamins daily, and getting regular exercise – all while having fun and spending more time together! With this pledge, I will also commit to teaching my children the importance of helping others through actions big and small.
