When I was a little kid, my brother and I used to beg our mom to buy a certain cereal just because we wanted the prize inside the box. It did not matter what the cereal was – we were all about the cool prizes!
Mom Always Finds Out received complimentary General Mills products and was compensated for this blog post. All opinions expressed are 100% my own. The giveaway sponsor is responsible for prize fulfillment.
As soon as my brother and I got home from the store, we would dig down to the bottom of the cereal box to fish out the little toy (and if memory serves, we would then argue over who got to play with it). I miss the days when cereals came with prizes inside, which is why I am especially excited to announce that General Mills is putting prizes back in specially-marked boxes of cereal, including: Honey Nut Cheerios, Reese’s Puffs, Cocoa Puffs, Lucky Charms, Golden Grahams and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
Our kids can now know the joy of finding free toys in their cereal box! The best part is the free cereal toys are REALLY COOL exclusive Mega Bloks. Boys and girls can customize one of four collectible Mega Bloks vehicles with a set of Hello Kitty and Power Rangers stickers.
Mom or dad can use scissors to turn the empty cereal box into a cardboard car jump. The easy-to-follow instructions are right there on the box. I used tape to secure our ramp to the floor. My boys spent as much time playing with the jump as they do playing with their “real” toys. I really should know by now that kids love to play with boxes of all shapes and sizes. The Mega Bloks cars are fun for kids to build again and again.
Look for specially-marked boxes of General Mills cereals with the Mega Bloks car inside. And the good news doesn’t stop there. Just a note to parents that the Mega Bloks toy car can be found at the very TOP of the box — so no need to dig all the way to the bottom of the cereal box fishing for toys like we used to have to do back in the olden days.
Does your little one like to play with construction toys like Mega Bloks? Have you seen the specially-marked General Mills/Mega Bloks cereal boxes? Would your child customize their Mega Bloks car with Hello Kitty or Power Ranger stickers?
