There’s a new game to bring a fast frenzy of family fun to your house. TENZI takes what my kids think are the most fun pieces of any board game — the DICE — and bases the whole game around them. The object of the game is simple: Be the first player to get all 10 of your dice to show the same number.
Ten Dice + Frenzy of Fun = TENZI
TENZI is so easy my 4-year-old can play it, and so fun that all kids and adults of all ages will get a kick out of trying to win. (This game does actually list an age limit of 97 years old, so I should clarify that anyone 97 and younger will get a kick out of this game.)
How It Works:
The game set comes with enough dice for up to 4 people to play. Each player gets 10 dice (all the same color) and when someone says, “Go!” everyone rolls their dice at the same time. Once the dice have landed, players quickly look to see what number they want to go for when they roll (remember the object of the game is to get all the dice to show the same number). Players then pick up the dice that need to be re-rolled and roll them again. Players keep rolling until all 10 of their dice show the same number. Once all 10 of the dice are the same, the player has to shout, “TENZI!” to win the game.
Sounds like fun, right? It is fun! And there are even more ways to play. My family has tried a few of the variations, including TENZI Tower. As you may have guessed from the name, TENZI Tower involves stacking the dice on top of each other. Believe me, it is harder than it sounds and adds a whole new level of challenge to the TENZI game.
TENZI is a game that is really easy to pull out and play anytime. There’s no complicated game set up (which this mom really likes!) and the game can be played in seconds (literally!). I think TENZI would also make a great party game since there aren’t any complicated rules to explain and you can play in teams if necessary. It is such a simple concept for a game, yet so fun.
