5 Reasons You’ll Love Working Out with Resistance Bands

May 1, 2015 by Nicole 5 Comments

Thank you to 212 Fitness for providing resistance bands for my review. All opinions expressed are my own. This blog post may contain affiliate links.

I am very new to resistance band training, but already love the workout convenience. The more I learn about the benefits of using resistance bands, the more I am glad to be giving them a try! I have the 212 Fitness Deluxe Resistance Bands Set (Amazon.com). This is a quality set of resistance bands for a value price. The complete set comes in a mesh carrying bag with everything you need inside: two Soft Grip Handles, two Ankle Straps, a Door Anchor, 5 Resistance Tubes: Yellow (6-8lbs), Green (9-11lbs), Red (12-14lbs), Blue (15-18lbs), Black (22-25lbs) and a Basic Instruction Manual.

This set can be used to create more than 30 different resistance levels. I know that is overkill for me – but exercise enthusiasts will appreciate just how versatile these bands can be. The instruction manual gives you basic ideas for a resistance bands workout and exercise suggestions to target different muscle groups. I have also been able to easily find video workouts online to help me, too.

If you are a newbie (like me) to the world of resistance bands training, I came up with what I hope is a helpful list of 5 things you’ll love about working out with resistance bands. I enjoy brief daily sessions of working out with mine. If you are looking to tone up and increase your body strength, give these fitness bands a try. No matter what your current level of fitness may be, you can get started with these bands.

1. Resistance bands can give you a full body workout.

2. Resistance bands are inexpensive. You can buy a durable, high quality set from 212 Fitness for under $30!

3. Resistance bands are lightweight and take up very little space. You can easily store them in a drawer in between workout. This makes them very travel-friendly – tuck them in your suitcase for vacation workouts!

4.Resistance bands can be used by beginners or experts. You can easily adjust the bands to create more or less resistance.

5. Resistance bands are simple for anyone to use and effective at strengthening muscles.

I’ve only started using resistance bands and they’re great for upper body exercises.

i do workout in between playing sports and making bets (oh you have no idea how I love betting!) But i haven’t tried resistance bands yet. To be honest, this is the first time I’ve heard of them. Can I use them while doing push-ups?

Hi Wyatt, Thanks for stopping by and for your comments. The simple answer to your question about can you use resistance bands when you do push-ups is: yes. I have not tried using the resistance bands this way, though, so I can’t give much additional input. I’d say go for it!
