All of my kids are on summer vacation from school, so I like to give myself a vacation from cooking breakfast most mornings. Everyone around here loves cold cereal anyway, so there’s rarely any complaints. I have to admit, I can make an excellent bowl of cereal. Just ask them:
I recently switched our usual cereal milk to the new Silk Almond Coconut Blend (Original). My family loves Silk soy milk and almond milk, but this is our first time EVER drinking the almond coconut blend. It has a light, sweet coconut taste with a hint of nutty almond. They really did the perfect job at balancing both flavors in one milk product. We all think Almond Coconut milk tastes great, whether it’s on cereal or sipped straight from the cup.
I can feel good about feeding my family Silk Almond Coconut milk because it has 50% more calcium than dairy milk and only 50 calories a serving. Not that the kids are counting calories – but I do like to watch my own daily calorie intake. Silk makes it easy for us to boost our daily calcium intake because we can simply add it to our morning cereal. I have also got plans to use it in my Pina Colada smoothie recipe – I think the Almond Coconut will go great with tropical flavors.
I have read the carton’s label and can assure you that I did not find any artificial colors or flavors in Silk Almond Coconut milk. All that good taste is the real deal. This product is also free of dairy, lactose, gluten, casein, egg and MSG. It is also enrolled in the Non-GMO Project’s product verification program.
What’s not to love? We have happy good mornings with Silk Almond Coconut Blend, and you can, too. Try it and let me know what you think.
