  1. Use a knife or carving fork to pierce the pork roast all over.
  2. Rub salt and liquid smoke flavoring all over the pork roast. Tip: If you are unsure about how much salt to add, start out with less. You can always add more salt if it is needed once the pork is cooked.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours. Drain juices and set aside. Use two forks to shred the cooked meat. Add back a small amount of the drained juices to moisten the pork if necessary.
