My son got an iPod Touch and we chose the Cellairis Rapture (Gunmetal/Citrus, $34.99, cellaris.com) case to go with it. I picked it because it has 2 lines of defense. A silicone inner absorbs shocks from drops. The outer polycarbonate shell protects against scratches and bumps. The hard shell is smooth and easy to grip. There is complete access to all of the ports so you don’t ever need to take the cover off. I like that the cover protects the entire back side of the phone (minus openings for the camera and Apple logo) and wraps around to leave a protective lip on the front screen for when you lay the iPod face down. The lip does not cover up any important functions on the screen. Overall, this seems like a great case for my son’s iPod Touch. We are really happy with it so far. The outer plastic portion of this case used to be more sturdy. It seems like they are making it thinner now. It easily gets bent and misshapen when you try to get it around the TPU inner portion.
