This year is the 3rd Annual Boys and Girls Clubs of America Give the Gift of a Great Future holiday campaign. All year long, these kids have been doing wonderful things in their community. From planting trees to green their neighborhood to fundraising for local animal shelters to collecting shoes and toiletries for orphans in Kyrgyzstan – these children are making a positive difference. We can support them by going to the Kids Give Back website and voting daily through December 12.
While you are there, you can read tips about how to inspire the Gift of Giving in your own kids. One of my favorite ideas from the list is to add a charitable element to holiday parties by asking guests to bring a small item for donation to charity. You can also get a bit of help spreading holiday cheer with these printable holiday gift tags.
