Cat Construction toys are always a huge hit with my kids, especially the preschoolers. Young children are always fascinated by real-life construction vehicles. This free-wheeling Cat machine transforms orange dough into “I” beams and other construction shapes.
My 4-year-old enjoys playing with the Dump Truck and will spend an hour at a time just putting dough through it. The Construct Dough toys are also available in the Excavator style. The Dump Truck includes one can of dough and 4 dough stamps that let kids make different street signs. His “Stop” sign is pictured above. To make the dough into different construction shapes, you lift up the dump truck’s bucket and push the dough into the hole. Close the dump truck’s bucket and the dough comes out the rear end of the truck. To make a different shape, simply turn the dial-like knob.
This toy is all about creative and imaginative play. There are no lights and sounds and no batteries required. The plastic Dump Truck is well-constructed. The orange Construct Dough has little flecks of silver glitter in it, which makes it even more fun to play with. My little boys almost always have a little car or truck tucked away in their pockets or hands. The Cat Diecast Metal Collection (Suggested Retail Price $6.99, ages 3+) are a really nice addition to their collection. Diecast metal withstands all my kids’ wear and tear. The Cat® Wheel Loader we received was so small, yet had so much detail so it really looked like an actual construction vehicle.
This toy has become a favorite of my 2-year-old’s. It’s so fun to watch him roll the Wheel Loader around making beeping sounds. He carries this one around quite a bit and it even ventures into the bathtub with him. The Cat Diecast Metal Collection are must have construction vehicles for your little one’s collection.
