I have passed the halfway point in my pregnancy, and am at the stage where I am filling out the maternity clothes with my growing baby bump, and am also needing to find comfortable maternity bras to wear. Normally, I’m a huge commitment phobe in the bra department. But last week, I was desperate for a comfy bra and ready to take the chance on anything that said “maternity” on it.
I happened to be at Target and could find only one such option: Gilligan & O’Malley’s Maternity/Nursing tank. It came in black or white and had a simple size chart on the back (Sizes XS to XL). I chose one and bought it without even trying it on. I was feeling brave!
Luckily for me, my bravery paid off. The tank’s built in bra is stretchy and supportive. The belly part is also soft and stretchy, and currently provides full coverage of my stomach. It is comfortable enough to wear all day, and would even make a great bra to sleep in.
The thin straps have clasps for when you need to use it as a nursing bra. They seem easy enough to undo one handed. Obviously, I haven’t used it as anything but a maternity tank so far, but I think it will transition to nursing tank just fine, making it a good bra investment in my book!
I would recommend the Gilligan O’Malley Maternity/Nursing Tank to moms looking for a bra that provides comfort and support. It has held up well after a couple of washes, so I would say it is a quality product.
