Fall is really flying by! Can you believe the kids have been back in school for a couple of months already? Our schools were out for a couple days of Fall Break, and we had a cousins spend-the-night party at my house. I had my four boys plus two of my nieces. That’s right — we had six kids ages 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 11 years old! Thanks to the fun new toys HASBRO sent to us, I was able to keep everyone entertained.

We don’t usually have any “girl” toys around the house. But I know my 3- and 5-year-old nieces love anything My Little Pony. We got the new pop-up book, My Little Pony: The Castles of Equestria. The castles come to life in gorgeous illustrations by world-renowned pop-up book artist Matthew Reinhart. The girls love how all the Equestria castles pop up really big out of the pages! It was so cute to watch my niece use her My Little Pony figures along with the book. She pretended her ponies could visit all the castles in the book.
Scrabble Twist has been a real hit with my older kids. It’s a handheld electronic word game designed for everyone ages 8 and up. I like playing it, too. There are solo, multi player and party modes for several different word games. Scrabble Twist can be played anywhere at home and on the go. It’s small size makes it ideal for travel. I can see us taking this along on our upcoming holiday road trips. The main object of the games is to let each player have a turn to spell words using the device’s 5 buttons. Players then twist the unit to “bank” the words and earn points. You have to make as many words as you can before your time is up and play moves on to the next person!
Transformers Super Bumblebee is BIG FUN for kids ages 6 and up! He stands at 19 inches tall. It’s easy for kids to transform him from a sports car to a robot in just three steps. Push a button for Bumblebee to talk and to make his lights flash. He says several phrases like, “Time to bring the zoom and lower the boom!” You can even download a Transformers app to your smart device to use with Super Bumblebee for interactive play. *Super Bumblebee was recently named one of Parents Magazine’s Best Toys of the Year for ages 5 and up!*
Playskool Fold and Go Busy Elephant is a fun baby toy that parents can easily fold up and carry in their diaper bag for on-the-go play. I just gave one as a baby shower gift. It’s a really cute and super soft way to keep baby entertained during tummy time with seven different activities.
