The VeraTemp thermometer is so easy to use. All you have to do is aim the scanner a couple of inches from your child’s forehead, push the button and voila! A neat thing about the temperature display screen is that it will be backlit in green if the temperature is in the 97.3°F and 99.1°F range, orange if it is in the 99.3°F and 100.2°F, and red if it is higher than that. My son would tell me, “Mom, I am feeling like my fever is going to be red,” and I would know that he meant his fever was going up. Sure enough, he would be right. The morning he got better, he ran into my room and was so excited to tell me, “Mom, I scanned myself and I was GREEN!” We all love using this thermometer. I even caught my husband “zapping” all of our kids foreheads the other day when I had the VeraTemp out. I don’t like having sick kids, but this gadget does take a huge stressor off of me when I need to take their temperatures.
Just for fun, I tested the thermometer out on all of my children, including the baby. You can tell from his smiling face in the above picture that using the Kidz-Med VeraTemp Non-Contact Thermometer didn’t bother him in the least.
