I have been waiting for PBS Masterpiece: Mr. Selfridge The Complete Series to become available on DVD all year. Thanks to my friends at PBS for sending over a copy for me to enjoy!
I didn’t really hear any buzz about the Mr. Selfridge show until it had been on a couple seasons. I wanted to start with season one and catch up, but that never happened. The series finale aired on PBS in March 2016 and The Complete Series is now on DVD, which means Mr. Selfridge is ready to become my next binge watch.
Mr Selfridge is a British-American period television drama series about Harry Gordon Selfridge and his department store, Selfridge & Co, in London, set in the 1910s.
The title character is played by Jeremy Piven, who I loved as Ari in HBO’s Entourage. I can’t wait to see him in what I assume is a completely different role as Mr. Selfridge, the American founder of a lavish London department store in the early 20th century.
