We have been looking forward to The Avengers BluRay/DVD release date (9/25) for months. My husband and oldest two sons saw the movie at the theaters, but the younger kids and I did not. Everyone in the family was excited to see the movie either again or for the first time! Our Avengers adventure with the Augmented Reality app at Walmart was a super fun way to get the kids involved in a scavenger hunt for Avengers trigger points throughout the store. They are always up for a good hunt!
Our first item of business was to find the exclusive DVD/BluRay/Novel combo pack at Walmart ($24.95)! What a great deal to get the movie on DVD and BluRay, plus a limited edition Marvel Avengers super hero graphic novel.
We found one of The Avengers trigger points and used the app to take pictures of us posing with our favorite Avengers characters! My boys loved taking turns with the camera. The app lets you share pictures via email, Facebook and Twitter. This is a fun #MarvelAvengersWMT adventure for the kids!
At another Avengers app trigger point, we found a ton of different super hero toys including talking action figures. Scanning the trigger points will unlock different questions for the “Which Avenger Are You?” quiz.
No Avengers party would be complete without Marketplace pizza. Each pizza box features a different Avengers character and can also be scanned by the Avengers app to unlock something cool! There were many different Marketplace pizza options, but we decided to take home the Stuffed Crust Pepperoni.
While we waited for our pizza to bake (20 minutes), the boys opened our Avengers DVD/BluRay/Graphic Novel Combo Pack to check it all out.
The Avengers graphic novel is very cool and we’re so glad we bought the exclusive Walmart combo pack so we could get it! This will definitely go in the boys’ special collection.
Pizza is freshly baked and ready! Yum! Once we finish eating, we can start The Avengers movie!
And the moment we had all been waiting for finally arrived! We popped in The Avengers DVD and settled in for our family movie night. I won’t give out any movie spoilers, but let’s just say this is one totally awesome action-packed movie! It was so cool to see all of the different super hero characters in one place. The movie cast is amazing and just packed with some of the best actors of our time. I’m so glad I finally got to see The Avengers movie and I know now that we own it, we’ll be watching it again and again.
