Laurie Berkner’s popular song Pillowland is now available as a bedtime story book for kids. Each page contains Laurie’s lyrics beautifully illustrated by Camille Garoche. We were super excited to receive a copy of the book in exchange for our review.
Pillowland carries readers away to a magical place “where people wear pajamas every night and every day” and “where all the houses, the building, and the trees are made of fluffy pillows that are soft as they can be.”
The outstanding artwork really brings the song lyrics to life. Every page is a colorful adventure children will want to explore. Along the way, they will find a magic pillow plane, a falling star, a feather ocean, a castle with a quilted moat, and much, much more.
Of course, no trip to Pillowland is complete until “We gather up the pillows, and…we have a pillow fight! And then we’ll land in Pillowland.”
Reading Pillowland is a fun new addition to my sons’ bedtime routine. They love that we can look at the book while we listen to Laurie sing the Pillowland song, following along with the words to turn the pages at the right time.
