I love it when the weather is finally warm enough for my family to eat dinner outside. This works out great because my kids want to stay outdoors until the sun goes down. My boys are usually out riding bikes with friends, playing on the swingset, or jumping on the trampoline. When it is time to eat, I bring our food and dishes outside. Then I do my best to round up the kids from the four corners of the neighborhood. They think it is fun to have picnics under the trampoline. It’s easy for me to spread out a picnic blanket and let them eat.
As you can probably tell from this facial expression, my boys can be pretty silly – especially at meal time!
Good food is usually an effective magnet to get my kids to take a break from playing and sit down for dinner. Even if it only lasts about five minutes! Then the kids are off again to play. My family enjoys eating outdoors and it is one of my favorite ways to spend time together and unwind at the end of the day.
One of our favorite Ragú sauces is Chunky Tomato Garlic and Onion. It has a delicious taste your whole family will love.
