A few months ago, all the targeted ads online decided to convince me I needed a blow dryer brush. I literally could not open Facebook or Instagram without seeing an ad for one brand or another’s version of a hair dryer brush.

Read on for my review of the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer Brush.
Spoiler Alert! I love mine! I highly recommend buying one, especially if you are looking for ways to cut down on the time it takes to dry and style your hair.
You know what? All those targeted ads finally worked on me. I caved. I started researching blow dryer hair brushes. (This somehow increased the number of target ads I got for them!) I watched hours of product review videos to see how hair dryer brushes work, and which ones seemed to work best.
Decision time. Actually, it was an easy decision. The one hair dryer brush that consistently got glowing reviews was the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer And Volumizer Hot Air Brush.
The best part was that the Revlon Hot Air Brush was within the budget I set for myself (under $50.) I treated myself to Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer And Volumizer Hot Air Brush for Mother’s Day. (I know what you are probably thinking…I am such a thoughtful gift giver!)
So…Does the Revlon Hot Air Brush live up to the hype? In a word: YES.
I was almost afraid to find out for myself if the reviews about Revlon’s brush were too good to be true. But, from the very first time I used it, the Revlon brush tamed my long, straight-ish, frizzy hair. I was surprised at how quickly I was able to dry my hair.
After I dry my hair with the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer, I don’t need to use any other styling tools like my hair straightener. It truly is “one step” and done. My hair is smooth, shiny, straight and styled by the Revlon Dryer brush.
In case you are considering making a purchase, I made a list of the Pro’s and the Con’s for the Revlon Hot Air Brush.
Pro’s
- Dries hair quickly
- Smooths and straightens hair
- No need to use another styling tool (saves hair from further heat damage)
- Budget friendly price
- Trusted Revlon brand
- Lightweight to hold
- 3 modes: High, Low, and Cool
Con’s
- The air and the brush part can get hot! So be careful not to burn your fingers (or hair – you have to keep the brush moving while you style)
- It seems a little loud when it’s turned on High
Honestly, the Cons I listed should not stop anyone from buying the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer Brush. I don’t want to talk you out of getting one. I just want to give you a head’s up about the high heat and the sound.
I have been nothing but happy about buying the Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer Brush. It saves me so much time. Plus, it makes straightening my hair without a flat iron so easy.
I tell my friends and family, especially ones who use multiple heat tools to style their hair, to give it a try. If you don’t like it, return it! But, I think you will LOVE it as much as I do.
The Revlon One Step Hair Dryer Brush is part of Amazon Prime Day Deals this year. See the current price at: Revlon Hair Dryer Brush on Amazon.
When my beauty product budget allows, I love to use Unite 7 Seconds Leave-In Conditioner and Unite Hair Oil. A budget-friendly choice that works great is John Frieda Frizz Ease Heat Defeat Protecting Spray.
