The stand itself looks nice and is lightweight without being flimsy or easy to knock over. It is super simple to set up right out of the box. I really like that I don’t have to take the iPad2 out of its protective case to set it on the stand.
The stand has an easel type of design, and your tablet can sit horizontally or vertically on it. I am able to charge the iPad2 while it rests on the stand, which is very convenient. The stand has become a great resting place for my iPad2, whether I am using it or not. I use my iPad2 as an alarm clock and having the stand puts it at a great angle on the nightstand. When I am trying to cook with a recipe off of the internet, the stand holds the iPad2 at a convenient angle for me to be able to cook and read the screen.
I think this stand is worth the $29.99 price tag, especially considering the variety of ways it is useful.
If you like to use your iPad2 to view movies while you travel in the car, the RocketFish Car Mount is very easy to install to the back of your seat’s headrest. It can also double as a protective carry case.
I loved I was able to install the car mount very quickly and easily. However, be sure that your car seat has the type of headrest that can adjust up and down (called a “dual pole headrest”), otherwise there is no way to strap this car mount onto the seat. My vehicle’s front passenger seat does not have a headrest that adjusts, so I had to mount this on the second row’s passenger seat. This works out fine for me, because my kids sit in the third row of seats and can watch videos on the iPad2 while we are on the go.
The car mount itself looks nice and takes up minimal space. It is a little inconvenient for me to use the car mount since I have to switch my iPad2 out of its normal protective cover and put it into the protective cover that attaches to the car mount.
It is simple to turn the iPad2 from portrait to landscape view, although we probably will only use it in the landscape view for watching movies. If you plan to use the iPad2 in your vehicle, having a hands-free option like this car mount is the way to go.
