Me (using my “Excited Mom” voice): Hey kids! Who wants to go back-to-school shopping? Cue my kids moaning, groaning, and even flopping down on the floor pretending they can’t get up and go anywhere. THIS YEAR THAT IS GOING TO CHANGE. My kids are going to beg to go back-to-school shopping because Walmart is hosting super fun STEAM events at select store locations on July 27. Your kids will have a blast and won’t want to miss out! The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) events will be held at select Walmart and are an awesome way to get everyone into the back-to-school spirit. Only 2000 Walmart stores are participating – Click the image below to find a STEAM event near you.
The STEAM events at Walmart feature fun and engaging activities for kids of all ages. You and your kids will be able to make colorful Tie-Dye Shirts using Hanes T-shirts (10am-2pm), or Slime with Elmer’s Slime Kits (2pm-4:30) or Cereal Necklace’s with Great Value cereals (10:30am-4:30pm.) While Kids enjoy making fun things, parents can enjoy saving money on back-to-school essentials from trusted brands including Sharpie, Hanes, ALL detergent, Ziploc, Duck Tape, and more. My son has wanted to make slime all summer long. I saw Elmer’s Slime Kits at Walmart and couldn’t resist getting one for us to try. The kits include everything you need to make cool slime in 4 easy steps. We made “Glow in the Dark” slime. It really does glow nice and bright in the dark!
