Small Business Saturday is coming up this weekend, November 24! I thought I would share with you where we are headed on Small Business Saturday and ask, What about YOU? Where do you plan to shop small this weekend? I hope you are looking forwarding to shopping at one of your favorite small businesses or even checking out a new place you have always wanted to try.
The kids and I will be going to one of our favorite local hot spots to eat the best milkshakes in the state (maybe even the country!) at a place called Dairy Keen…not to be confused with Dairy Queen. It’s not the same place, at all.
The Dairy Keen is a place for locals and tourists to stop in for classic American food like hamburgers and fries. It’s got a completely unique atmosphere that children love with a miniature model train constantly running along the tracks at the top of the dining area. Outside are some train cars that my kids enjoy climbing on during the summertime. The drive thru has painted railroad tracks to show you the way. It’s really cute and a fun place to go for family time.
Our little town would not be the same without Dairy Keen. I’m happy to support it any day, especially on Small Business Saturday. We may try to round up a few of the neighbor kids to take with us – if I’m feeling brave. I have four kids of my own who keep my hands full, especially when we try to eat out.
