I knew my boys loved creepy, crawly, scaly, slithery things, but didn’t realize their total obsession with reptiles until we watched PBS Kids Wild Kratts: Wild Reptiles. We took this DVD with us on a road trip, and they watched it –mesmerized– over and over again. I mean that literally. The DVD finished and they asked me to play it again. I was shocked they wanted to go on another 2 hour Wild Kratts binge, but also happy that they enjoyed learning so much about wildlife.

My kids love to learn fun facts about creatures from the Kratts. The four shows included on this DVD (total runtime is approximately 120 minutes) teaches about the incredible ways reptiles have adapted for survival. They learn how geckos can climb walls, facts about rattlesnakes, and other “creature powers” of the animals they meet.
The Wild Kratts are engaging for kids to watch. Each episode is introduced by live-action Chris and Martin Kratt, then turns into an animated adventure. The team visits wild animals in their natural habits and each adventure showcases a rare wildlife moment and is filled with villains, daring rescues and lots of comedy. This show makes learning and science entertaining for children.
