Eco-Friendly Friday: Biokleen Floor Cleaner Review & Giveaway

I love a clean house! And as part of my resolution to incorporate Eco-Friendly products into my household, it only makes sense to begin replacing my mainstream cleaners with greener choices like Biokleen. This week, I had the opportunity to try Biokleen’s Citrus Essence Multi-Surface Floor Cleaner. Natural and effective, it is safe to use on all sealed and water-safe floors such as Hardwood, Marble, Linoleum, Ceramic Tile, Laminate, Stone, and Vinyl.

My house’s floors are laminate and vinyl, which means I mop. A lot. And often – thanks to my sons who carry leaky sippy cups, track in snow and dirt, accidentally spill their drinks…if you have kids, you know the types of messes I’m talking about.

The first thing I noticed about Biokleen’s floor cleaner is that the directions say to Spray directly on floor and wipe clean with a clean cloth or mop, no need to rinse. Say what? No buckets, no rinsing? This is sounding pretty easy! And it was.

The first time I used the floor cleaner was to clean up a small area of the kitchen floor where somehow a Pixie Stick had fallen to the floor, spilling blue sugar everywhere! My bottle of Biokleen had just arrived and was sitting conveniently on the counter, so, I picked it up, sprayed and wiped. It was easy and it worked!

I like that it does not leave a residue behind (no streaks where I had cleaned!) and there are no strong cleaning fumes. In fact, the Citrus Essence scent is very light and pleasant. The spray bottle is great, just one spray will cover a good bit of surface area.

My second test of Biokleen’s floor cleaner was on the vinyl floors of the bathroom. I used the mop this time. I simply walked around with the mop, spraying as I went along mopping. Have I mentioned I love not having to lug around a bucket of water?

Biokleen’s Multi-Surface Floor Cleaner was quick and easy to use, and effective on my floors. It was so quick and easy that I went ahead and kept right on spraying and mopping until I had done all the rooms in my house that have hard floors. It didn’t take long for my floors to dry, either, since I didn’t have to use water.

Do I recommend this product? YES! Biokleen’s tagline, “Tough on Dirt, Gentle on the Earth” is appropriate and if you are looking for affordable, effective Earth-friendly household cleaners, you should try Biokleen.
