Baby Registry Essentials ~ Best Baby Gift Ideas by Fisher Price

If you are creating a baby registry, looking for a baby gift idea, or just wondering what items you really need for your new baby, let me tell you about one of my favorite baby items. It definitely deserves a spot on any list of baby registry essentials. The Fisher Price My Little Snugabunny Newborn Rock n’ Play Sleeper is a must-have item for any newborn. There are a couple different patterns such as the one pictures below and another one with Butterflies.

I would personally recommend buying a Rock N’ Play Sleeper over a bassinet. I didn’t know these rocker-sleepers even existed until I had my fourth baby last year and a good friend gave me hers. My son used this daily for his first several months. I loved that it kept him in a slightly upright position, which helped him sleep better because of his reflux (he spit up a LOT at first!). I wish I had had one of these for all of my babies!

Easy to Carry Around the House and For Travel

The rocker sleeper is lightweight and easily folds in half  to carry, store and use for travel. We scooted our rocker sleeper all over the house – wherever I needed to be, I took him with me. During the day, he could be in the same room as me or I could scoot him into a quiet space nearby. At night, I scooted him next to my bed so he was within arm’s reach while we slept. We used it anytime we traveled and spent the night in hotels or just needed a place for baby to nap while we visited friends and family. The machine washable cover is easy to remove for cleaning and holds up well in the wash.

There is a basic version of the Rock n’ Play Sleeper that costs about $25 less than the deluxe versions and I know they work just as well and the same. The main difference between the basic and deluxe is that the deluxe version uses plush fabrics. The one my son used was the “basic” version shown below. My sister loves her “deluxe” version and recently emailed to tell me that “she loves it, the baby loves it….it’s PERFECT!”

Add one of these to your baby gift registry if it isn’t there already. You’ll love it, and you just may get a little bit more sleep while your baby uses it, I know I did!

    These are simply useful ideas!! Thanks for sharing it. Being a parent there is nothing more amazing than having a baby in the house. Also, the arrival of a friend or relatives baby is an excellent occasion, and a good chance to take some time to select the most appropriate and useful baby gift for the new arrival. It can be a more difficult job choosing something which conveys your feelings. We always would like to give a gift that can be useful to the baby or the parents.
