{Recipe} Homemade One Ingredient Banana Ice Cream

June 6, 2012 by Nicole

If you have never tried homemade One Ingredient Banana Ice Cream, you are in for a treat. It’s so simple, there really isn’t a “recipe” for it. It’s just BANANAS. Believe it or not, frozen bananas whip into cold and creamy “ice cream” that you can feel good about eating.  It tastes great and is healthy. All-natural goodness – no added sweeteners or dairy products.

I put Banana Ice Cream to the ultimate test and fed it to my kids. All four of them LOVED it. They were literally begging for more. This recipe is definitely a winner at my house, try it out and let me know what you think!

One Ingredient Banana “Ice Cream” Directions:

1. Slice several medium ripe bananas into chunks and freeze for at least 2-4 hours.

2. Place frozen banana chunks into your food processor.

3. Blend until creamy.

Serve immediately.

Hi Lolli, I can’t believe I have lived my whole life without hearing of this until just a few days ago! It’s so good! And nice to have something to give my kids instead of the “real” ice cream or other sugar snacks.

Yummers! Thanks for the great idea! Also a nice way to use up those soft, browning bananas that nobody wants to eat.

Yes! We go through bananas like crazy around here, but sometimes they end up browning before anyone gets to them. The browning kind are PERFECT for making banana ice cream. Hope you like it if you try it!
