My preschooler’s Cottonelle Care Routine involves an intricate pattern of toilet tissue, cleansing cloth, more tissue, another cleansing cloth…and possibly another cleansing cloth followed by a final pat dry with the tissue. (Little kids can be so messy sometimes…)

I recently gave our bathroom a mini makeover. A basket makes a handy container for toilet tissue. The back of the toilet is a convenient place to put it, too. Now we never have to go far to get to our Cottonelle. And our guests don’t have to poke around underneath the sink looking for an emergency roll of toilet tissue.

Confession time. I have a stark white bathroom that needs TLC. It’s one of the places in my house I have yet to repaint and decorate. I decided to try to cheer this place up without spending a lot of money. And without a lot of work.

I learned that one of the fastest ways to brighten your bathroom is to get a new shower curtain. Pick one in a cheerful color. I love blues in the bathroom, and I just couldn’t resist the pretty hues in this curtain.

Another fast way to perk up your bathroom is to buy new towels. Treat yourself to some fluffy ones in a color that coordinates with your new shower curtain. And while you’re at it, don’t forget a new bath rug. It will help pull everything together.

Since I spent money on those new items for the bathroom, I decided I’d be thrifty and “shop my house” for the rest of what I needed. I painted the metal rims on a couple of glass canning jars…and now they are decorative holders for things like cotton swabs.

    I have a basket I use to store our extra rolls of TP too. It makes it look nice and there are always a few rolls ready to go.

      Can you believe I had this sea turtle picture for years and never did anything with it? I had almost forgotten all about it. It’s perfect for our bathroom now that I’m changing it to blue! 🙂

    I like Cottonelle toilet paper. I haven’t tried the Cottonelle Flushable Cleansing Cloths. I use baby wipes. I’ll have to give these a try.

      We love the flushable kind because, well, they flush down without clogging the toilet. My kids have accidentally used baby wipes and tried to flush them and clogged things up pretty bad. To be fair, they did try to flush about 10 baby wipes at once. 🙂

    I love your bathroom! Blue is such a nice clean color. I only use Cottonelle brand. Last week one of our little one started a new routine of putting half the roll in the potty and flush over and over . . . 🙁 NOw we are back to leaving the door open – LOL

      My kids go through that phase too! They think it is so funny to watch the toilet paper unroll “all by itself” when it flushes and get sucked down the toilet hole. LOL

    Ok, I am seriously loving the basket with the TP and towels in it! Why haven’t I thought of that before! We love Cottonelle, and I have the new wet wipes dispenser on all of my toilets.
