When It Comes To Children’s Medicine, Little Remedies Knows Less is More

I do a lot of things to help prevent the spread of germs in my home, especially during cold and flu season. Three of the best tips I can give you about cold and flu prevention are:

  1. Wash your hands frequently.
  2. Wash your hands frequently.
  3. Wash your hand frequently.

As you can tell from my list, I think washing your hands frequently is CRUCIAL to staying healthy. It is so important to teach your children to wash their hands often, especially if they go to school and/or daycare where they are spending time in close quarters with others. It may sound crazy, but when I hear about an illness going around in our school, I make my children change into clean clothing when they get home from school. I hope that helps keep them from bringing germs into our home on their clothes.

Despite my best efforts, my children still catch a cold from time to time. And when that happens, I want to choose the right medication to treat their symptoms. Little Remedies® products shares a “Less is More” philosophy I completely agree with and recommend to other parents. The Little Remedies® medications are effective and contain only what is needed to make your child feel better – no saccharin, alcohol, artificial flavors, artificial coloring, dyes or harmful preservatives.

I feel good about giving my children a medicine that can treat their symptoms without putting unnecessary ingredients into their bodies. My children use Little Remedies® to help them feel better when they are sick. One of our favorite products is the Little Remedies® For Noses™ Sterile Saline Nasal Mist. At the first sign of a stuffy nose, I use this on the kids to help flush out the mucus and soothe nasal passages. Everyone from my toddler to my tween uses it – and my tween knows it works so well that he even asks for me to give it to him!

Be Prepared – Plan Ahead For Cold and Flu Season

Avoid late night runs to the drugstore when you stock your medicine cabinet with the basics like Little Remedies® For Fevers™ Infant Fever/Pain Reliever and Little Remedies® For Colds™ Honey Elixir. The Infant Fever/Pain Reliever is one of the only brand name fever reducers for infants on the market today. I like to keep a children’s acetaminophen on hand at all times because it is useful to treat many symptoms. This is a safe way to temporarily reduce fever and minor aches and pains due to common cold, flu, headache, sore throat and toothache.

The Little Remedies® For Colds™ Honey Elixir is a natural alternative to traditional cough syrup products. I love that the Honey Elixir is safe for toddlers 12 months or older and is made with great-tasting honey. The Honey Elixir is an effective way to soothe sore throats and coughs, and contains no artificial flavors or colors, no saccharin, alcohol, dyes or gluten.

I make sure that when I am babysitting my niece and that when we go out we always wash our hands before and after. Washing hands is the most important thing to do during the cold and flu season. Little Remedies cold medicine really works at taking care of a cold. I was so happy when I used the Fever medicine that it brought the fever down!

I think you are completly right in that less is more- so many children are over medicated for small things such as colds when just a little TLC will do. I adore Little Rememdies.

    I highly support hand-washing!
We will check out the Little Remedies® For Noses™ Sterile Saline Nasal Mist; it sounds like we could use that sometimes.
But we will keep washing our hands!
