Book Review: What’s He Really Thinking

What’s He Really Thinking?: How to Be a Relational Genius with the Man in Your Life by Paula Rinehart

I couldn’t pass by this book because of the title. What woman doesn’t want to be a relational genius with the man in her life? If this book offered insight, I was all for reading it, although I don’t normally read books written from a Christian, self-help perspective. (*Although I am Christian, I just don’t read this genre of books.)

The book was easy to read, and written in a nice conversational style. I don’t think the author provided any groundbreaking insights into men, but the way she presented her insights into the male psyche and told how women can react to men by using this knowledge is useful information.

My favorite parts of the book were the chapters where Rinehart broke men down into different classifications. It amazed me she was spot on with the way she “typed” men by their characteristics. At the end of the book, there are pages of questions that women can ask the men in their life so that they can gain a better understanding of the man. Very thought-provoking questions that any man/woman should take the time to ask themselves in order to know each other better and in a deeper sense.

I would give this book a 3 out of 5. Helpful, but not groundbreaking. Insightful, but not enough for me to go out and recommend to all my friends.

Disclaimer: I received this book from Booksneeze in exchange for my written review.
