Mom Always Finds Out was recently selected to be a Toy State Test Driver! I don’t think anyone was more excited than my kids because they knew it would mean they get the chance to try out all sorts of cool vehicle toys.
We recently received the Cat® Construct Dough with Bulldozer and Cat® Diecast Dump Truck for our review. As a mom of 4 boys, let me assure you that you cannot go wrong with a dump truck! Or any construction vehicle for that matter. Kids are fascinated watching road construction in real life, and the Caterpillar construction toys give them “The Feel of Real” when they play.
The kids and I thought the black Construct Dough was so cool. It has the silver sparkly glitter specks in it, so it looks like a real asphalt road! My preschooler loved using the Bulldozer, stamps and tools to roll out miles and miles of his very own roads. The Bulldozer with Construct Dough (Suggested Retail Price $9.99, Ages 3+) is lots of fun and provides hours of creative play time.
I think the Cat® Bulldozer is great for kids’ imaginations. There are no lights, sounds or music on this toy (no batteries required). Kids can play pretend and build roads. My son loves playing with the Bulldozer and Construct Dough, making road signs and shapes for their road. This toy is recommended for kids ages 3 and up. You can also get a Dump Truck with Construct Dough to go along with this play set.
The diecast metal Cat® Dump Truck (Suggested Retail Price $19.99, Ages 3+) is perfect for outdoor play in the rocks and dirt! It’s a tough, realistic model of Caterpillar’s larger-than-life dump trucks. I know it’s going to hold up to many years of my boys playing with it because it’s made out of metal. I also think this Cat Dump Truck makes a great collectible – but the kids enjoy playing with it so much it never gets the chance to sit still on the shelf. The dump truck really works and can be filled with rocks, dirt, you-name-it and dumped…just like a real one! No batteries required. Bulldozer also available.

This truck rocks. My son has a couple of really big trucks that he loves – one Tonka and one is pure plastic. This caterpillar would make a great addition to his collection. It takes them a really long time to outgrow playing with these.

I’m so glad to see that the die cast trucks are back! Yea! Plastic is nice, but I just love the classic feel of the die cast!
