It was blowing snow the morning we packed into our car for a California road trip. We were headed south and could not wait to drive our way out of the cold. In less than three hours, we had left the snow way behind. Our thermometer read 70 degrees in southern Utah. The kids were ready to stretch their legs – and what could be more exciting than a stop at Dairy Queen?!?
We will happily trade a winter snow blizzard for a delicious ice cream Blizzard at Dairy Queen. My boys love OREO Blizzards so much that they never want to branch out and try any of the other yummy kinds.
My kids thought I was nuts when I told them to turn their OREO Blizzard upside down! Dad had to first show him it was okay – Dairy Queen Blizzards are made to get upside down.

I remember going to Dairy Queen when I was young. I loved it. But unfortunately I do not live near one now. I wish I did!

We love getting Blizzards at DQ. They used to do the upside down test before but quit doing it. I like to get the banana split Blizzard.

I believe my comment didn’t go through. I had said it is my sisters favorite, the Oreo blizzard and she has one down the road from her. We do not have a DQ near me at all and we all miss it.

I have gone to Dairy Queen since I was a kid and got their awesome dipped cones! I will have to get into Dairy Queen this month and and get a Blizzard! I love the Brownie Cookie Dough Blizzard!

I have never tried a dairy queen blizzard, but I sure would like to try the Oreo one that your boys got. Maybe we’ll see,m if we can find a dairy queen, when we go on vacation.
