Have Your Cake and Eat It, Too with Duncan Hines Perfect Size For 1

May 25, 2017 by Nicole 9 Comments

I have partnered with The Motherhood and Duncan Hines to talk about the new Perfect Size for 1 treats. As always, the opinions expressed are 100% honest and based on my personal experiences.

The kids are tucked away in bed and the house is quiet after a busy day. I can finally unwind with a favorite show and a delicious treat made just for me. I totally deserve this moment, and I plan to savor every second. Moms and dads, I know you can relate to how I’m feeling!

Duncan Hines Perfect Size for 1 lets you make a single serving cake inside a microwaveable mug. It’s a quick, warm treat made with no messy bowls or pans to clean.

Easiest treat ever! Your taste buds will never get bored, either. There are 18 varieties of Duncan Hines Perfect Size for 1 flavors for morning, afternoon or evening. Each flavor made with simple ingredients. All you need is a mug, some water, and about a minute. How perfect is that?

One of my favorite Perfect Size for 1 flavors is the decadent Chocolate Lovers’ Cake. It’s a moist and rich chocolate cake with chocolate chips. If you’re like me and love chocolate treats, this is the perfect choice for you.

Make it your own. Easy.

A Duncan Hines Perfect Size for 1 warm treat is easy to customize. Make it with just about any liquid (water, milk, cream, juice, coffee, liquor, etc.) and/or your favorite add-ins like nuts, fruit, coconut and just about anything want. It’s virtually fail-proof!

I love to give a Chocolate Lovers’ Cake a German chocolate cake flavor twist. It’s sooooo good! All you need are a few simple add-ins: coconut flakes, chopped pecans and caramel sauce.

Bake the Perfect Size for 1 according to package directions, then top it with a decent drizzle of caramel sauce, and a generous sprinkling of coconut flakes and pecans. Grab a spoon and dig into this indulgent treat while it’s still warm. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it!

Visit Duncan Hines Perfect Size for 1 and let me know, which flavors do you want to try first? What is your favorite time of day to indulge in treats — morning, afternoon or evening?

I’ve never seen these, but they are going to be on my list! Then I won’t feel bad about eating too much cake! Great share for the #HomeMattersParty

I saw these and asked, my hubby, where were these when we had a microwave?. Now that we don’t have a microwave and also we don’t want to, I really wish there is an alternate way to use these.Love your twist on the cake recipe. #HomeMattersparty

I haven’t tried the caramel cake version yet! That sounds like a good one. Our store only has a couple options right now, I keep hoping they will get more flavors to try.

So glad to see someone finally thought about the times when you don’t want to make a whole cake-you just want 1 slice! 🙂

Can pineapple or other fruit be added before the cpineapple cake is baked?

      Hi Barbara,
Yes, you can stir in fruit pieces to the cake before putting it into the microwave. It may take a little trial and error to get it just right, but for fruit, I would cut it into smaller pieces so it will bake better. Thanks for your question!
