Bold Easter Basket Ideas For Men + $100 Walmart Gift Card Giveaway

Easter is almost here and it’s time to get hoppin’ to our Easter basket shoppin’. We have partnered with Slim Jim to share some of our favorite Easter basket ideas for men. All of them are guy-approved by the five guys who live with me!

Shopping for a guy’s Easter basket is so much fun. A neat twist on the traditional basket is to use an alternative container like a tool bag, bucket, or crate. The idea is to fill something your guy will be able to use even after Easter is over.

I picked up a small black plastic crate (in the storage container section) to use as the Easter basket alternative. Then, I got busy filling the “Easter Man Crate” with a variety of stuff guys like: snacks, magazines, gadgets and small tools. Don’t be afraid to stick in a few personal care items. I found a gold mine of small basket fillers in the travel toiletries aisle at Walmart. 

Next up: snacks. Make a stop in Walmart’s snacks section to find manly snacks like Slim Jim. The 26-pack of Slim Jim in Mild or Original is a must have for your guy-approved Easter basket! All of my boys (including hubby) love to eat Slim Jim. They will be thrilled to get a big pack for Easter.

Looks like I’m not the only one who loves Slim Jim! My Walmart is nearly sold out. 

I also got popcorn and Crunch `N Munch before heading to the Magazines, where I picked up a magazine that I think my guy will enjoy. We have a family tradition of putting flashlights in Easter baskets, so I grabbed one of those. Guys can never have too many flashlights!

My guys spend a lot of time outdoors these days, so sunscreen is a handy choice for the guy basket. Like I said, it doesn’t hurt to get guys useful necessities to help them take care of themselves. The boys at my house like to smell good, so their Easter crate will also include travel size men’s shampoo, deodorant, body wash and a loofah for good measure.

TIP: Use tissue paper to fill the bottom portion of your Easter basket so the goods will stick up at the top.
