Thank you to HoneyBaked Ham for sponsoring this blog post about Easter dinner ideas.
Easter is one of the big holidays for my family. As in, We-Must-Get-Together-And-Eat-A-Huge-Feast type of holiday. We have so many aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins that it takes a lot of extra tables and chairs to fit us all. We set up a separate “kids” table so the adults can all sit together and eat. One way to make the seating arrangements fun and festive is with Easter place cards. That way there’s no fuss about who has to sit where.
I like to make my own place cards, and this year I took on the Origami Rabbit. These are so cute – and easy to make. By the time you make one or two of them with the directions, you will be able to make the rest on your own. They are that simple. My kids love these – I let them pick their favorite bunny and write their name on it.
How to make Origami Easter Bunny Place Cards:
You’ll need origami paper or any paper cut into a 6 inch by 6 inch square (You can use scrapbooking paper)
If you are like me and need a visual aid to make origami, I have included photo instructions at the end of this blog post. Just scroll on down to see them. It’s much easier to look at pictures than try to figure origami out from written instructions. I hope you will find my pictures helpful. They are in order step-by-step. Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
Serve a Traditional Easter Dinner with HoneyBaked Ham
A family gathering can be a lot of work, especially when there’s food involved. That is why I am taking it easy this year and letting HoneyBaked Ham take care of my family’s meal. I don’t know if you have ever eaten a HoneyBaked ham…it’s really delicious! I love the honey glaze they put on their hams. Fun fact: Every HoneyBaked Ham is slow-smoked for more than 20 hours! No wonder they are so perfectly tender.
A HoneyBaked Ham is simple to prepare. All I have to do to get it ready to serve is take it out of the refrigerator (about 30 minutes prior to eating so it can warm to room temperature). The ham is already spiral-sliced so it is truly a no-fuss main dish. HoneyBaked Ham sells fully-cooked turkey, too!
So the main dish is covered and it gets even better…HoneyBaked Ham side dishes. There are a variety of delicious sides that are frozen and ready-to-bake. I chose the Au Gratin Potatoes and Green Bean Casserole. The side dishes and dessert selections may vary by location. Which HoneyBaked ham side dishes would you pick?
By the way…NO ONE has to know that you did not spend hours preparing this traditional Easter feast. Simply do this little trick I learned from my very own mother: Transfer the food to your own serving dishes. I promise, NO ONE will even question this amazing meal. And you are free to take all the credit!
I hope that everyone at my house saves room for dessert because I bought HoneyBaked Ham’s New York Cheesecake. I like that it can be served plain or with favorite toppings like fruit and chocolate. I drizzled my cheesecake with chocolate syrup. Yum!

The Origami Rabbit name card is so adorable and really nice to put a family member’s name on it and have it on their plate. I also need a visual aid in helping me make these. I love the thought of having dinner with Honey baked ham and their side dishes. I have not eaten their food!

What a cute idea for place settings, so cool and very different! I use to have a friend who was so good at Origami. She had tons of animals she could make.

One of my kids went through an origami phase last year, so we have a few books. I wish I could do origami off the top of my head, Maybe since I made so many rabbits for Easter, I’ll be able to at least remember how to do that one. LOL
