Our friends at Post Pebbles sent us a fun-filled package to help us ring in the New Year with Fruity Pebbles cereal. We came up with some fun, kid-friendly ideas to keep the kids entertained as we count down to midnight on December 31st!
No party is complete without treats. Easy-to-make Fruity Pebbles Cereal Treats are colorful and fun snacks. They are a twist on the classic Rice Krispies treats recipe. I used a round cookie cutter to make circle-shaped treats. Then I added a layer of vanilla frosting and covered them with sprinkles! Party Game: Cereal Box Puzzle Challenge
As you’re counting down to midnight, turn your Fruity Pebbles Cereal Box into a puzzle! Use scissors to cut out the front panel of the cereal box. Flip it over and use a pen to draw puzzle pieces. Cut out the puzzle pieces following the lines you drew. Mix up the puzzle pieces and you’re ready to play. To Play: Time each player to see who can put the Fruity Pebbles puzzle together the fastest.
Fruity Pebbles Confetti Balloons
My kids love to pop balloons, especially when they are filled with edible Fruity Pebbles confetti! Just make sure you do this outside so it’s easier to sweep up the mess. Fill the balloons with confetti and blow them up ahead of time, so they will be ready to pop at your New Year’s celebration.
What You’ll Need:
- Balloons
- Fruity Pebbles Cereal
- Funnel
Directions:
- Put the open end of the balloon around the funnel spout. Drop a few pieces of Fruity Pebbles Cereal into the funnel, a few pieces at a time, so they will go into the balloon. We filled each balloon with 1-2 tablespoons of cereal.
- Blow up the confetti filled balloons and tie them closed. Set aside until you’re ready to pop them!
Fruity Pebbles Cereal and Milk Shots
Everyone can toast the New Year with these Fruity Pebbles Cereal and Milk Shots. We think it’s best to make these right before you’re ready to drink them.
What You’ll Need:
- Small dessert glasses or shot glasses
- Light Corn Syrup
- Fruity Pebbles Cereal
- Milk
Directions:
- Fill a small bowl with about 2 Tablespoons of light corn syrup and set aside. Fill another small bowl with Fruity Pebbles cereal.
- Dip the rim of each glass in the syrup, then dip the rim in the bowl of Fruity Pebbles cereal to coat.
- Fill with milk. Serve immediately.
