Win a Trip to the Beach! What You’ll Love about a Gulf County Florida Vacation

April 1, 2014 by Nicole 23 Comments

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Gulf County, Florida. All opinions are 100% mine.

I grew up about an hour away from the emerald green waters and white sandy beaches of Florida. I sure miss living there now. It’s always fun to go back home for a visit, especially when I get to go to the beach. A trip to Gulf County Florida is a relaxing escape from the everyday hustle and bustle. You can really get away from the crowds and enjoy the beautiful nature that surrounds you.

Some of my best family memories were made on our beach trips. My boys still talk about the time they were building a sand castle and stumbled upon a huge crab (that scared them half to death!) We have a video of it, and it’s priceless.

The boys keep begging to go fishing, which is something you can do year round in Gulf County Florida. We can charter a fishing trip and attend one of many fun festivals at Port St. Joe. This little town is off the beaten path, and attracts lots of families with its outdoor parks and events.

I can think of so many reasons your family should vacation at Gulf County, Florida. I have limited it to just a few of my favorites in hopes to convince you to Come visit GCFL!

The beaches. Gulf County boasts 43 miles of white sand shoreline on the Gulf of Mexico and St. Joseph Bay.

Cape San Blas. This westward facing peninsula is famous for spectacular sunset views. In fact, Gulf County Florida is called the #ChampionofSunsets!

Fun Activities For Everyone. Bike seaside trails, kayak in the bay, boat, paddleboard, and snorkel. There are countless ways to enjoy Gulf County nature.

Pet-friendly beaches. Gulf County Florida beaches are ranked in the Top 10 Pet-Friendly Beaches. Bring along your pets – they love to vacation, too!

Spotty WiFi and 2 Traffic Lights. Vacations are a time to unplug and enjoy spending time your family. Forget about the internet and sitting in traffic. This is a “no worry, no hurry” destination.

But don’t just take my word for it – see what other travelers and Gulf County Florida fans have to say on this at-a-glance Pinterest board. It’s full of even more ideas of what to go and do in Gulf County.

Win a Trip to Gulf County Florida!

Head over to Facebook and Like GCFL on Facebook and salute real beauty!. Then play the #GCFLnofilter game for your chance to win a trip to the beach!

For EVERY entry in the contest, GCFL will donate $1 to Outdoor Nation, a program that helps connect kids and teens back to the outdoors.

Selfie sharing time! My husband and I recently visited Florida’s Gulf Coast and enjoyed the sights and sounds of the ocean surf. I could walk forever on the beach, what about you? You could walking on the beach right now…if you were in Gulf County Florida!

Wow that would be such a fun thing to do. I have never been to a beach, we live in Kansas so their is no real water around us, except small lakes and rivers!

I would find somewhere nice and sunny and quiet and just sit there to enjoy the warm weather. We still have snow 🙁

Especially since being in Illinois it’s still pretty cold 🙁 Not one but TWO family members of mine and a few friends have been able to go down to Florida for vacations this year and I think it’s my turn next! I’m not normally a beach person, but after the brutal winter I had to endure, bring on the sun and sand!

We haven’t been to the Florida Gulf Coast for several years! I would totally just hang on the beach and sip a tall cold one!

After this long, brutal Maine winter, I’d park myself on the beach and soak up the sun! I keep asking myself why I still live here…
