Hanes recently launched a new Virtual Comfort Facebook application for Breast Cancer Awareness. This app allows users to share comfort with family and friends in their social network by personalizing and sending FREE virtual Comfort Packages. Every time one of these FREE virtual Comfort Packages is sent, Hanes will make a $1 donation (up to $25,000) to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. to promote early cancer detection and provide mammograms for those in need.
What a great way to spend a few moments of your Facebook time and help promote a worthy cause! In order to personalize and send one of the FREE virtual Comfort Packages, you will have to Like Hanes on Facebook and click on the Pink tab on their page. The Comfort Packages you send are completely customizable with photos, videos, recipes, T-shirt designs, music and messages. I’m sure we all know someone whose day would be brightened when they receive a thoughtful message like this.
In addition to the Comfort Packages, the Pink tab also features video interviews of Hanes employees whose lives have been affected by breast cancer. You will also find the Words of Comfort Wall, where fans are invited to leave messages of hope and encouragement to those who lives have been impacted by this devastating disease.
Hanes is a long time contributor to breast cancer awareness. Since 2009, Hanes has donated one million dollars cash all-in-kind and will donate up to $125,000 to NBCF this year.
