Hawaiian Pizza Panini Recipe

Hawaiian Pizza Panini Recipe

This panini recipe lets you enjoy the delicious flavors of Hawaiian pizza in a hot sandwich! I use ham instead of Canadian bacon because I always have lunch meat on hand. Other ingredients include: mozzarella, pineapple and marinara sauce. And the bread, of course.

You can use just about any type of bread, but I like to make paninis with bakery breads and rolls. My personal favorite for this sandwich is a French Baguette. It’s got a hard crust on the outside, and just enough softness on the inside. We like to use our panini maker for quick and easy recipes like this one.

The recipe lists the ingredients along with suggested amounts to use. Feel free to load up on the meat and cheese if you like a heartier sandwich! Use more or less pineapple and marinara sauce as desired.

Hawaiian Pizza ingredients

Hawaiian Pizza Panini

Ingredients

  • 6 slices of Hillshire Farms Naturals Ham
  • 1-2 slices of mozzarella cheese (you could also use shredded cheese)
  • 1/2 cup canned crushed pineapple (drained)
  • French baguette bread (or use your favorite bread)
  • 2-4 Tablespoons marinara Sauce

Directions:

  1. Preheat panini maker.
  2. Cut French baguette bread into desired length to fit inside panini maker. Slice into 2 pieces (a top and a bottom).
  3. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the top and bottom slices of bread.
  4. Add layers of cheese, ham and pineapple to the bottom slice of bread.
  5. Top the sandwich with the top slice of bread and place the sandwich into the panini maker.
  6. Allow to cook in a panini maker for 5-7 minutes or until sandwich is toasted and heated through. Cheese should be melted. Serve hot.

What is your favorite kind of panini? Have you tried Hillshire Farms Naturals lunch meat?

Hillshire Farm Ham

I used Hillshire Farms Naturals Honey Roasted Ham because it is a delicious lunch meat made with no artificial ingredients or preservatives and no added nitrates or nitrites. Select cuts of meat are naturally smoked for incredible flavor. Hillshire Farm will provide a 100% refund for every package of meat that a consumer is not satisfied with.
