Think Outside the Juice Box! Switch to Shelf Stable Milk Boxes + Horizon Organic Coupon

September 28, 2012 by Nicole 57 Comments

Enjoying chocolate milk box from Horizon Organic! Note the super cute red lunchbox. We love looking for the Horizon Organic cow products!

Horizon Organic asked us to think outside the juice box and send milk boxes to school with my son’s lunch. I don’t usually send juice boxes anyway, but love the idea of sending a nutritious milk box with him! Milk boxes are something we had not tried yet. Horizon Organic shelf stable milk boxes provide my kids with essential nutrients like calcium, protein, and Vitamin D.

We headed to the store and bought enough chocolate and vanilla flavor Horizon milk boxes so that we could take part in the Horizon Organic “Juice Box Replacement Challenge” for one week.

You can think outside the juice box, too! It’s easy! Simply swap juice boxes for milk boxes in your child’s lunchbox for one week. See what they think about the change. My kids love to drink milk, so getting to drink milk during the school day is a real treat!

One great benefit of replacing juice boxes with Horizon Organic milk boxes is that your child won’t be drinking unhealthy ingredients like high fructose corn syrup and artificial preservatives often found in juice.

My Daughters usually take a small gatorade, juice, or water bottle. They are 13 and don’t care for milk at lunch, but I bet they might like the vanilla flavor! I will check out the challenge and thanks for the giveaway. 🙂

I normally spring for buying the milk at school even if they have a packed lunch – shelf-stable milk might be a good option for us.

Dd gets one of these milk boxes (she likes both the vanilla and chocolate) and a capri sun flavored water pouch plus her water bottle in her lunch (it’s actually breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack!) so it seems I already took the challenge and didn’t even know it! LOL
