I’m a Maytag Kitchen Mom #MaytagMoms

July 13, 2012 by Nicole

Pinch me, I must be dreaming! Ouch!!!  Okay, I’m awake and guess what? It’s actually a dream come true…I’m a Maytag Kitchen Mom!  I could not be more excited about this amazing opportunity, but I’ll try not to use a million exclamation points as I tell you all about it. Just know that when I got the good news, there was a lot of happy screaming, dancing and jumping up and down.

What does it mean to be a Maytag Kitchen Mom?  It means that sometime in the next few weeks, I will be receiving brand new Maytag kitchen appliances including a refrigerator, range, microwave and dishwasher. (Isn’t that AMAZING?!?!) And then over the next few months, I will blog about my experiences with these appliances from time to time.  It’s going to be beautiful!

Confession: My current kitchen appliances don’t match.  And I don’t just mean they are different name brands, I mean they literally don’t match as in they are completely different colors. I am thrilled that my new Maytag appliances will all be the same color!

As you may already know, my family has done a lot of moving this year. We had a major move from Alaska to Utah, then a cross town move from a rental home to a home we recently purchased.  Since we left all of our major appliances behind in our Alaska home, we have been using a hodgepodge of hand-me-down appliances including a 25-year-old refrigerator.  (Cringe. It works, but you know it was made before the words Energy Efficient even existed.)  I am so happy the new Maytag appliances will be state-of-the-art!

I swear that the dishwasher that came with our current home has a mind of its own. There have been many times I know I pushed the “On” button and heard it start to wash, then came back around and it was just silently sitting there not doing a thing. I thought we had worked out our differences and the dishwasher just liked for me to first spin its knob and THEN push the “On” button, but even that little trick doesn’t work all the time. I am so looking forward to a Maytag dishwasher that I can depend on to wash my dishes.

The Maytag brand has been around a long time, like 100 years! So I look forward to using Maytag appliances that will work for me for many, many years to come.

Be sure to keep an eye out for my upcoming Maytag Kitchen Moms blog posts and keep up with all of the Maytag Moms who will be tweeting with Twitter hashtag #MaytagMoms.

I wrote this post participating in an Maytag Moms Dependable Kitchen Ambassador program by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Maytag. I was provided with a Maytag kitchen appliances set, including a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and range to facilitate my post.
