I recently caved in and got myself a Kindle e-Reader. I love it! But of course, of course, of course, guess what Amazon has gone and done? They have made a new and improved version called the Kindle Paperwhite that is available for pre-order with an October 1 release date.
The Kindle Paperwhite seems to add many of the features that I have WISHED for after owning and using my current Kindle. I’m really excited about the new Kindle Paperwhite, yet completely irked at the same time! (How am I going to justify buying myself another Kindle in the near future?) I really, really want to be able to read in bed without the overhead light on, and guess what? The Kindle Paperwhite can be adjusted to perfectly illuminate for reading in every lighting condition from sunlight to nighttime.
The Kindle Paperwhite ($119) has some amazing features that I know will make the Kindle reading experience even better (and I thoroughly enjoy my “old Kindle” experience). A few of my favorites:
- 8 week battery life (even with the light on!)
- New font styles (6 styles, 8 adjustable sizes)
- Holds 1100 books (hello, that’s more than many public libraries!)
- 62% MORE Pixels for unsurpassed reading experience
- No Glare, even in direct sunlight
