School lockers are a home away from home. You need locker decorations and accessories that add style and personality to your space. Check out these Duck Tape locker ideas for inspiration. See how easy it is for you to create color-coordinated DIY locker accessories using your favorite Duck Tape colors and prints.
Duck Tape makes craft projects easy for people of all ages to do. Many Duck Tape projects don’t even require additional supplies like scissors, glue or staples.
I love the huge selection of Duck Tape colors and prints. There are more than 200 different colors and patterns – so I KNOW you can find something you love. For my locker decor and accessories project, I used a patterned Duck Tape with brightly colored music notes on it. It’s perfect for kids who love their tunes, or maybe they are part of the school band! I also used solid pink and solid yellow Duck Tape to match the colors found in the patterned tape. These bright colors will definitely cheer up even the most drab locker space!
Get started with this easy-to-make DIY locker wallpaper. Locker wallpaper should go on before anything else. I used strips of pink and yellow Duck Tape to create a striped “wallpaper” that goes all the way down the inside of the locker door. I simply attached each strip right to the locker. It will last all year long and can easily be peeled off to remove it at the end of the school year. Another way you can make Duck Tape locker wallpaper is to attach strips of tape to pieces of paper, cut the paper to fit your locker door, and secure with magnets.
DIY Locker Storage: Magnetic Cup Pen Holder and Supply Basket
You can turn just about any cup into a magnetic cup to hold pens, pencils and other school supplies. First, wrap your cup with Duck Tape so it matches your locker’s theme. Next, attach magnets to the back of the cup. I added several strong magnets so the cup will be able to stay stuck to my locker even when it is full of supplies.
I used a small plastic open top bin to make a magnetic supply basket. First, I covered the bin with Duck Tape to match my locker theme. Next, I attached strong round magnets along the back side of the basket.
DIY Magnetic Photo Frames
I found small photo frames at the dollar store. All I needed to do was remove the backing and glass so I could cover the frame with Duck Tape to match my locker decor. I put the frame back together and attached a round magnet to the back. Now all this magnetic photo frame needs is a fun picture to display!
DIY Magnetic Dry Erase Message Board
Pick up a small dry erase board at the dollar store. Wrap the edges with your favorite Duck Tape, leaving room to write messages on the board. Add a magnetic strip to the back. Don’t forget to wrap your dry erase marker with Duck Tape to match.
DIY Magnetic Clothespins
Start with a plain wooden clothespin. Cut a strip of Duck Tape to fit the length and width of the clothespin and attach it to the front of the clothespin. Cover the back of the clothespin with a strip of magnetic sheet cut to fit as necessary. Now you have a cute way to hang up important notes and papers.
Personalize Your School Supplies with Duck Tape
Once you have made your colorful and fun Duck Tape locker accessories, use Duck Tape to personalize your school supplies to match! Plain notebooks and folders look awesome decorated with Duck Tape. It’s easy to wrap your pens, markers and pencils, too.
