How to Make Your Own Business Cards (Fast and For Free!)

February 27, 2015 by Nicole

#spon: I am in a partnership with Intel. Through this partnership I gain access to content, product, or other forms of value.

Business cards are one of the easiest and most affordable ways to market your blog or business. If you don’t have a business card to hand out, what are you waiting for? Today I’m going to show you how to make your own business cards. You don’t need to be a graphic designer, I promise.

DIY business cards are especially helpful when you are on a budget. It’s also convenient to be able to give your business cards a makeover whenever you feel like making a change. You’ll also be able to print business cards on an as-needed basis. No need to throw away boxes of out-dated business cards.

Whenever I attend blogger events, I need business cards to hand out. I recently created a batch of custom business cards using my Lenovo Horizon 2s All-in-One computer. I really like the Horizon’s large 19.5-inch screen for design projects like this. Intel HD graphics look great on the display from any angle, thanks to the IPS wide view technology.

Another time I am expecially grateful for the Lenovo’s screen is when I edit photos. I take a lot of photos for blog posts, and like to be able to edit them quickly and efficiently. I end up using the wireless keyboard, the optical mouse and my fingers on the Lenovo’s touch screen to get the job done!

I have gotten so used to the convenience of a touchscreen computer that I assume EVERY screen is a touchscreen these days. I love being able to touch and tap. I can even unplug from the power cord for up to three hours, which lets me take my work to any room in the house. The Lenovo Horizon 2s makes it easy for me to work and play, wherever I want to be.

Are you ready to see how easy it is to design your own business cards?

Canva.com’s business card templates are simple to use – and they are FREE! Canva has many different styles from modern to whimsical. You can create a professional-looking business card in minutes.

So, I’ve design a business card and downloaded the pdf, but it’s just a one small image on a regular size page. How do I get the pdf image into a template to print the cards?

      Hi Lacey,
I would suggest going to Avery.com’s design and print online: http://dpo.print.avery.com/dpo7-us/app/US_en/dpo.jsp?productCategoryName=L_BizCards_en You will need Avery Business Cards (blank ones to print on) and all you need to do is type in the Avery Product Number so the correct template will pop up. Once that pops up, you can either upload your design (or customize an Avery design) to the business card template and it will automatically populate the blank spaces for printing.

I hope that even somewhat makes sense – sorry, it’s hard to explain. Try Avery.com and if you have more questions, let me know and I’m happy to help as best I can. Thanks and good luck! -Nicole

Awesome blog post. I’d rather not have to pay for something I could make at home
