When I hear the word “vegan,” I think of a vegan diet, which I understand to mean does not include any animals or animal products. Mineral Fusion makeup and hair care products takes veganism beyond food and into personal care routines. You don’t have to live a vegan lifestyle to enjoy the benefits of a vegan makeup and hair care routine.
I love that Mineral Fusion products are eco-friendly and free of gluten, parabens, SLS, phthalates, artificial colors and synthetic fragrances. If you are looking to “veganize” your cosmetics bag, or even simply want to try using natural makeup and hair care products (they can be so good for you!) look to Mineral Fusion.
Mineral Fusion has a wide variety of vegan-friendly products. I have past experience with a few of their products. Their mascara is still one of my personal favorites. They recently sent me samples of vegan Nail Polish, Shampoo & Conditioner, and Bronzer to try out and see what I thought.
My summer self-pedicures got so many compliments when I used Mineral Fusion’s Lagoon shade. It’s such pretty blue/green/aqua (I can’t decide which one of those colors describes it best). The polish went on smooth and easily lasted weeks without chipping on my toes. Mineral Fusion nail polish gets bonus points for being infused with antioxidants that actually protect nails from damage. The 2014 Mineral Fusion Nail Polish Collection is available in six gorgeous shades ($7.99 each, Whole Foods).
The Mineral Fusion all-natural Bronzer ($29.99, Whole Foods) gave my skin a natural-looking glow. The “Sparkle” shade adds a little bit of sparkle without looking glittery. I have a fair to medium skin tone that is currently tan, and this bronzer was not too dark for me. More bonus points to Mineral Fusion because this lightweight bronzer powder provides natural UV protection and free radical defense. Bronzer is available in 2 versatile shades that can even be used on sensitive skin, Sparkle and Luster.
Mineral Fusion Volumizing Shampoo & Conditioner ($9.99 each, Whole Foods) add moisture to hair without weighing it down. The natural shampoo uses a unique Mineral Rich Clay to absorb excess oil and remove impurities without stripping hair. Conditioner uses Argan Oil to repair hair so it looks and feels healthy and silky.
I love shampoos and conditioners that leave my hair feeling clean and lightly scented. Mineral Fusion made my hair smell really good (using 100% natural fragrances) without being overpowering. I think the Volumizing formulas would be perfect for someone with normal to oily hair. My hair happens to be on the dry side, so I always need to use a heavier conditioner than this particular one by Mineral Fusion. Otherwise, I think Mineral Fusion shampoo and conditioner is at a nice price point for high quality natural ingredients.

My daughter tries to always purchase vegan-friendly products. I haven’t heard of this brand, but the products look wonderful to try.
