I’m not ashamed to admit that I have often begged – and I mean that quite literally – my children to eat foods that I knew were good for them. We all want our kids to be healthy and learn to eat right. Fruits are an important part of a balanced diet, and new Del Monte Fruit Cups are a delicious and smart way to snack. The good news for me is that the new flavors taste so good that I don’t have to beg anyone to eat them! Just take a look at those two with their fruit cups…bottoms up!!!
My kids loved the new Del Monte Fruit Cup flavors: Diced Pears with Vanilla and Spice & Diced Apples and Pears with Caramel Flavor. They kept calling the Diced Pears with Vanilla and Spice the “apple pie ones” – which was funny to me since those fruit cups only have pears, no apples! I think the delicious vanilla and spices do make these fruit cups taste a lot like apple pie, yum…
No matter what they may call it, my children enjoyed eating the new fruit cup flavors and asked for seconds. I have put the Del Monte Fruit Cups on the official “Snack Shelf” inside my pantry, right at the little ones’ eye level. I did this on purpose so that when it is snack time, those are the healthy snacks that they will reach out and grab. Each fruit cup contains one serving of fruit. I love it when my kids beg to eat fruit!
Healthy Alternative For Snacks and Lunches
It can be hard to find healthy snack foods that children will agree to eat. Del Monte Fruit Cups have only 60 calories per serving, are gluten-free, and do not include high fructose corn syrup. I try to avoid foods that contain high fructose corn syrup, so I’m especially happy to know that there are no worries with these delicious fruit cups.
My youngest is 18 months old and the diced fruit makes an excellent finger food for him. The fruit is soft and easy for him to eat. It’s a super fast snack for me to give him since I don’t have to do any of the fruit slicing…it’s already done for me. I just open the fruit cup and put a few pieces out in front of him.
Del Monte Fruit Cups Pack Perfectly For School Lunches and Snacks
I was happy that my oldest son said he would like to take the Del Monte Fruit Cups in his school lunch. He is very picky about the items he takes and it is difficult for me to pack fruit without it getting bruised. The fruit cups are a great way for me to send fruit to school and know it will not get bruised or ruined before my son’s lunch time.
