Top 10 Easy To Grow, Kid and Pet Friendly Houseplants

April 26, 2012 by Nicole

easy to grow houseplants

Houseplants are a great way to go green!  Not only do plants add a touch of lively color, they also help to freshen and purify the air inside your home.  If you don’t have a green thumb, don’t worry!  I have compiled this list of easy to grow houseplants.  They require minimal care to provide you with years of a healthier home environment.  Since children and pets like to look at, touch, chew on and even eat plants (yes, it happens!) – the houseplants on this list are commonly listed as nontoxic and safe for everyone.

Do you grow plants indoors?  What are your favorite houseplants? Let us know in the comments!

Also the bamboo picture actually looks like a lucky bamboo which isn’t really a bamboo and is toxic for cats

Non toxic to animals the website states. That link you posted shows it’s OK to have this plant.
