My son’s school recently adopted a Waste Free lunch policy to help students reduce their impact on the environment. So many of us rely on single-use plastic baggies and food items that come individually packaged for convenience. It has been estimated that on average a school-age child using a disposable lunch generates 67 pounds of waste per school year. That equates to 18,760 pounds of lunch waste for just one average-size elementary school. (Source: WasteFreeLunches.org)
Stainless steel food containers from Plenty-Full help us to pack a waste free lunch. Reusable containers save the landfills and save money, too. Plenty-Full containers are a healthy choice because they are BPA-, PVC- and plastic-free. They are even dishwasher-safe for easy cleaning.
Products and Sizes
There are three sizes of containers to choose from: Baby, Mama and Papa.
The smallest, Baby size, is perfect for dips and sauces. Try the Mama size for sandwiches and large snacks. The largest, Papa size, is great for everything listed above and bigger items including salads and leftovers. We have the Papa Size and I can fit all sorts of lunch goodies in there for my child. He likes to take fruit, dry cereal and chips to school. Our Plenty-Full container keeps them from getting bruised and broken. Plus, everything stays fresh in these airtight containers.
Eco-Friendly Gift Giving
Give friends and family this year’s holiday treats responsibly packaged in one of Plenty-Full’s stainless steel containers. The shiny stainless steel makes a pretty package when paired with a colored ribbon.
