Easy Craft Project Ideas With Pentel POP Gel Pens
Pentel Sparkle POP, Milky POP, and Solar Pop gel pens are a fun new way to add color to your life.
The Sparkle POP pens are ultra glittery, I love how the colors shimmer on the page. Vivid Milky POP pens come in milky pastel colored ink that shows up really well on dark papers. Neon colored Solar POP ink actually glows under black light!
Gel pens available here on Amazon.
Pentel POP gel pens can be used on more than just paper.
In addition to coloring pages, I use these unique gel pens to add vibrant color and details to all sorts of craft projects.
Doodled Canvas Shoes
Some of my favorite doodles are succulents and cactus. Cacti and succulent plants are surprisingly easy to draw. Use colorful Pentel POP Gel Pens to draw your doodles on white canvas shoes.
Materials Needed:
- Gel Pens Set (I used Pentel Sparkle POP, Milky POP, and Solar POP)
- White canvas shoes
Use Gel Pens to draw your favorite doodle designs on a pair of white canvas shoes.
Tip: Use a pencil to lightly draw doodles on the shoes before coloring them in with gel pens. You may also want to practice drawing your doodles on paper before doodling on your shoes.
GALAXY ROCKS
I used the Pentel Milky POP Gel Pen (White) and Pentel Sparkle POP (see galaxy rock photo above for: Silver, Pink, and Blue) to add embellishments and decorative elements like stars to my painted galaxy rocks.
Materials needed:
- Clean rock
- Sparkle POP and Milky POP gel pens
- Acrylic craft paint in Galaxy colors (Galaxy Rock color suggestions: black, green, pink, purple, blue, yellow)
- Foam paint brushes
Directions: Paint the surface of the rock with galaxy colors and allow to dry completely. Add details and embellishments with gel pens.
Flamingo Flower Pot and Cactus Flower Pot
Materials needed:
- Acrylic Craft Paint (White)
- Gel Pens Set (I used Pentel Sparkle POP, Milky POP, and Solar POP)
- Terracotta pot
- Foam Paint Brush
Directions: Paint the outer surface of the terracotta pot with a thin layer of white craft paint and allow to dry completely. Use gel pens to add decorative doodles!
Tip: I used a pencil to lightly draw my designs on the outside of the flower pot. Then I drew over the pencil lines with gel pen inks.
Pentel POP gel pens are a must for your coloring pages, homemade cards, and journals. These gel pens come in a variety of vivid colors that make writing, drawing, and coloring fun.
Sparkly gel pens are always a favorite of mine. I find myself reaching for the Pentel Sparkle POP pens often to take notes and write in my daily planner. Sparkle POP and Milky POP gel pens look great on black paper. The ink really pops against the dark background so your writing stands out.
It’s fun to see what surfaces you can write, color and draw on with Pentel POP gel pens. Let’s hear your ideas! What other things can you write on with gel pens?

Love the sneakers! Is the pen permanent or can rain/snow smudge it?
Nicole says
Thanks, Ainsley! Although there are Pentel fabric gel pens that are made with waterproof ink, I did not use those on the sneakers. I try to avoid wearing them in rain and snow so they don’t smudge.
