Cranberry Relish is a yummy alternative to plain cranberry sauce with your turkey and on your turkey sandwiches. It is super easy to make with fresh cranberries, oranges, apples and sugar to taste. A friend recently shared her family’s favorite recipe for Cranberry Relish. It is delicious!
Ingredients:
2 Apples (washed and cored)
2 Oranges (seedless, leave the peel ON)
Bag of Cranberries
1-2 cups of Sugar (sweeten to taste)
Directions:
Cut apples and oranges into wedges and place in a food processor bowl along with the cranberries. If you have a mixer with a grinder attachment, you may choose to run the ingredients through the grinder instead.
Using food processor: Mix/Chop ingredients together, being careful not to overdo it because it will turn them to mush.
Stir in sugar a bit at a time, sweeten to taste.
Tips:
- If you don’t like a strong orange flavor, use 1 orange.
- Freeze leftovers for smoothies.
- You can use frozen cranberries.
