There is nothing as refreshing as a glass of ice cold lemonade on a hot day. At least that’s what I thought before I tried Frosted Lemonade!
I recently got creative in the kitchen and combined two of my family’s summer favorites: Simply Lemonade® with Raspberry and ice cream to make frosted raspberry lemonade. Oh. My. Goodness. You are so going to want to make this at home! My kids and I are in love with what they are calling lemonade smoothies.
We use Simply Lemonade and Simply Lemonade with Raspberry to make our frosted lemonade frozen drinks. My favorite is the raspberry, so that’s the one I decided to photograph for you. Of course, you can use whichever Simply Lemonade variety you want in the recipe below. They are both simply delicious.
Simply Lemonade is an all-natural lemonade with no added preservatives or artificial flavors. We love it at my house because it tastes like homemade lemonade.
We Make Frosted Raspberry Lemonade with Simply Lemonade
My kids are always willing to help me make treats. Frosted Lemonades are almost easy enough for them to do by themselves. I still have to help out when they use the blender. But, they can handle scooping the ice cream.
They are also pretty good about pouring the Simply Lemonade from a measuring cup into the blender. Sometimes they don’t even spill!
Once the ice cream and lemonade have been measured into the blender, I put a lid on it and give it a short pulse. My blender is pretty powerful, so it only takes a few seconds. The ice cream and lemonade blend together to a smoothie-like consistency that’s ready to drink. We like to put fresh berries on top.
Although my pictures show raspberries on top of a Frosted Raspberry Lemonade, some of our family decided they love blackberries on top of theirs instead. (What a great idea! I wish I had thought of it first.) How would you top your Frosted Lemonade?
- 3 cups vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup Simply Lemonade with Raspberry *or Simply Lemonade Lemonade
- fresh raspberries optional for garnish
- Add 3 cups of vanilla ice cream and 1 cup of Simply Lemonade to blender.
- Blend on high speed for about 5-10 seconds, or until a smoothie-like consistency is reached. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
- Optional: Garnish frosted lemonade with fresh raspberries before serving.
I hope you will give this Simply Lemonade Frosted Raspberry Lemonade recipe a try soon. Please take a moment and leave a comment below to let me know what you think. And don’t forget to share the recipe with your friends!

3 cups of ice cream for 1 serving? Sounds like quite a bit of ice cream. Is that correct?
Nicole says
No, that serving size is incorrect, sorry for any inconvenience. We split the amount of Frosted Lemonade made with this recipe 3 ways at my house. Thank you for pointing that out! –Nicole
